Accounting Clerk


Summary

In this position, the KELOWNA BASED Accounting Clerk will perform a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions in the organization.   

 

The Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.



Position in Company

  • Reporting to the Controller
  • Working with Bookkeeper
  • Flexible hours and work from home negotiable - looking for a Kelowna-based candidate



Responsibilities and Duties


  • Accounts Receivable
    • Ensure client payment methods are up to date
    • Contact clients to arrange payment on overdue accounts
    • Responsible for collection proceedings when required
    • Track KPIs and submit to Controller weekly


  • Payroll
    • Collect, confirm and process time sheets and overtime
    • Verify taxes and other deductions
    • Prepare and distribute payroll checks
    • Track employee vacation and sick time

 

 

Experience / Qualifications


  • Minimum of four years of general bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency and experience with QuickBooks accounting software is a MUST
  • Payroll experience an asset
